With this option, you will still have the mail in your inbox but it will automatically go as read.
- Archive Gmail’s copy
In this option, the email will be deleted from the inbox as a read mail but it will be archived in your Gmail account so that you can search and recover it whenever you want.
- Delete Gmail’s copy
In this option, the email will go directly into the Trash folder after it has been forwarded to the alternate address. You have 30 days’ time to retrieve the email if you want otherwise, it will be permanently deleted from your Gmail account.

- Select the email in question that has to be forwarded.
- A tab will open just above the email with a three vertical dots icon.
- From the drop-down box, select the – Forward as an attachment option.
- Before clicking on the Send option enter the email address of the recipient in the – To section.
