Sometimes although I was able to connect to the messenger, I still had problems receiving and sending messages. I guessed it was due to my WI-FI so I went and restarted it. Sometimes, this simple solution can tend to work miracles and your application starts working again.
Just in case you do not have a WI-FI and you are using your mobile data, you can turn it off and put it back on after a few seconds.
Solution 4 – Updating the mobile system
Not many people know that it is very important to update the mobile system regularly. The latest updates help to strengthen the security, install new features, fix bugs, and improve the overall performance of the mobile device. To update the mobile system, you need to go to the Settings option and choose System and then look for System Update.

There were times when I saw a white and blank page and noticed that the chats were not loading even after refreshing the application or restarting the mobile. I went and opened the browser and did a search to check if there was a Facebook Messenger Server Outage. There are also a few websites that I came across that helped me with the information I needed. Each of these websites has a Search text bar wherein you can type the question. On the search bar, I typed Facebook Messenger.

Solution 6 – Clearing unnecessary cache and data of the Facebook Messenger Application

- Then go to the upper-right corner where there are three dots and open the menu from there and choose the Show system apps.
