Whether it is your internet services or the Outlook application, the servers of both play an important role while accessing your emails. You should first check if the servers are working or not.
For the internet connection, you can first reset or restart the router and then see if it is working or not. If it is still not working, then you can call the customer support team to find out if there is a technical issue, if the server is working or not, check the settings, or even request for an engineer to come over to your place.
If there is a problem with Outlook then you would need to first check if the settings you have put is correct or not. Go through the Blocked list
The next thing that you would need to do is to check the Blocked list and Spam or Junk folders. Through the blocked list you will get to know if you have accidentally blocked a particular email address or recipient. If the person in question is on the list, then unblock the email address. If you do not find the email then go to the next step.
Check the Spam or Junk email folders
Go to the Spam or Junk folders to check and see if the emails are being redirected to such folders or not. If you find the emails in the folder then you can shift them back to the inbox and mark the mail as not spam.
See if the email forwarding option is active or not
Another thing you need to see is if you have the email forwarding option on or not. Just in case it is on and you have not configured the added the new email on Outlook, then that can also be the reason why the outlook is not receiving emails.
Check the inbox storage space
Every email service provider gives a certain amount of free space depending on the type of account you choose. For example, the business-centric outlook services will provide more storage space in comparison to an individual account. You would need to see if you have maxed out storage space or not. Delete all the unnecessary files or emails that are there to free the space.
Reset any Filters that are set
A person has the flexibility to set filters for their incoming mail. This helps to save time and energy as the emails are sorted as per the filters that are set. If there are filters, then you would need to reset them or remove the unnecessary filters.
Check the Outlook Rules feature
The Outlook riles feature is a special service that is provided wherein a user can set certain rules pertaining to the outgoing and incoming mails. If you have activated this feature, then there are chances that this could be one of the reasons why the outlook is not receiving emails. To remove the Rules that you have set, you would need to go to Settings – Mail – Rules. Click on the rule that you want to remove and choose the Trash option.
